The General Manager of the Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KOSSAA), Hon. Osaseyi Richard, has identified transparency, honesty, dedication and hard work as critical values for sustainable societal growth and institutional success.

Hon. Osaseyi made this assertion on Thursday as the agency marked the close of its maiden financial year since its establishment, describing the milestone as a major achievement for one of the fastest-growing agencies in Kogi State.

Addressing staff of the agency, the KOSSAA boss charged them to remain committed, responsible and diligent in the discharge of their duties, noting that these qualities would enhance trust, accountability and professionalism within the system. He stressed that staff dedication would help the agency stand out and consolidate the gains already recorded.

He disclosed that since KOSSAA commenced full operations in 2024, the agency has recorded notable successes, while urging staff not to relent, as greater responsibilities and expectations lie ahead in the coming year.

Hon. Osaseyi reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to boosting revenue generation and meeting targets set by the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS), adding that such efforts would directly contribute to the overall development of the state.

The General Manager also called on business owners, corporate organizations, churches, mosques, political parties and individuals to obtain approval from the agency before mounting any form of outdoor advertisement. He emphasized that with the political season approaching, it is imperative for all stakeholders to comply with KOSSAA regulations.

Speaking at the event, The Head of Department (HOD), Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS), Engr. Ogueyi Muftau, commended KOSSAA for its tireless efforts and resilience. He assured the agency of continued support from KGIRS, urging staff to remain humble and open to learning new techniques that would further reposition the agency in the next financial year.

Engr. Muftau praised the leadership of Hon. Osaseyi, describing his stewardship as instrumental in transforming the agency from “zero to hero,” and challenged staff to raise their performance level, noting that much more is expected from KOSSAA.

On behalf of the staff, a corps member posted to the agency, Chijioke Richard, expressed satisfaction with KOSSAA’s operational style, observing that the agency has continued to grow from strength to strength. He appreciated the state government for establishing the agency, noting that its existence would help shape and organize the state’s environment.

He described Kogites as hospitable and peaceful people and expressed optimism that Kogi State would remain at the forefront of development. He also called on all residents to contribute their quota towards making the state one of the most prosperous in the country.
